Its friday, almost noon....I woke up at 10 and have a shit load of things to do. I gotta start packing my stuff, still gotta grab some swag from Canadian Tire, and call Jill. I might start with some light packing. Oh I also have to go to the bank. I also need some time to work on my bike, she hasnt' been purring like normal lately.

I'm pretty stoked about this camping trip. I love just getting out of the town and seeing things from an outdoor point of view. The feeling I get when I'm camping is just so...free? Theres nothing to worry about and the only thing on your mind is relaxing and having fun. I love it. Not that there is anything to worry about back here anyway. I love life in the summer. Somehow it's so much less complicated. I guess its the feeling of being more independant. I've hardly done anything with my family this summer. I feel like I'm mostly just working, sleeping and hanging out with my buds. Simple, fun and easy. However I am looking forward to Grade 12. Going back to school won't be a drag, it will be inconvienient, but nothing to commit suicide over. But that's still a long ways away. Best not be thinking of school this early into summer break.

Alaina and I had a really cool idea yesterday. We think we are going to make a CD with everybodies favourite "summer" songs on it. You know the kind of songs that just make you feel good in the summer. The ones that add to that good mood or the ones that remind you of good times you've had...primarily in the summer. So we thought about getting everybody to nominate songs for this "Summer CD" on our LJ entries, then once we have a list of nominees, we'll hold a vote (also on LJ) for the songs and then I'll burn a bunch for everybody. Then that way we'll have a cd of songs that will remind us of summer and all the good times we've had and will have. I thought it would be a cool way to commemorate all the good times for those going away to school. So reply to this journal any song or songs you feel should be on this Cd.

But for now I should start packing. I hope everybody who isn't gone camping has a really good weekend. We'll be sure to have a big get together on Monday. *cough* dance party *cough*
